Global Missions and Outreach

The mission of the Foundry and The Free Methodist Church extends beyond our local context and community. These are the global missionaries and organizations that we support as a church. Your impact can reach people all around the world through these missionaries and organizations by supporting them in prayer, giving and even participating in short mission trips. Check out each organization for ways that you can get involved.

  • Empowering Lives International

Years of poverty have been slowly drying out the soil of hope in Africa. Millions live on less than a dollar a day and abject poverty chokes out dreams and often life itself. Hunger, disease, alcoholism, spiritual emptiness, and lack of knowledge move through the hearts and homes of countless villages and generations where struggling parents repeat the cycle of raising malnourished, uneducated children who hope for a better life. ELI is bringing light to those who live in darkness.

  • Heavenly Treasures

Our mission is to equip and assist people in developing countries to break the cycle of poverty through their handiwork and creativity. We focus on handicraft projects that allow the development of a micro enterprise, leading them down the path to self-sufficiency. These projects are very small enterprises, ranging from one refugee family to a group of village women, all in need of a consistent income.

  • FOSTER THE CITY

Foster the City was launched in 2015 when a Social Worker challenged churches in the San Francisco Bay Area to address a growing deficit of foster homes. In the ensuing years, Foster the City has partnered with more than 250 churches and mobilized almost 2,000 households – as Foster Parents, Support Friends and Advocates.

As a result, hundreds of children have been welcomed into Foster the City homes. In 2021, Foster the City expanded beyond the Bay Area and today our dream is to see churches across the country become known as a community where abused and neglected children are cared for as beloved sons and daughters.
